The Hemingway Mojito

"My mojito in the Bodeguita del Medio and my daiquiri in the Floridita." - Ernest Hemingway, a signed quote hung on the wall of La Bodeguita del Medio in Havana, Cuba

Some say this was actually Hemingway signing off on one of his favorite adult beverages, others say it was a publicity stunt by the La Bodeguita del Medio bar and the wall written note was a fake. For our instance, who the hell cares!? Hemingway enjoyed many drinks, and a mojito was surely one of them.

  • Ice Cubes
  • 6 ounces light rum
  • 12 FRESH mint sprigs (leaves)
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • Crushed ice
  • Club soda
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Lightly muddle the mint in the shaker, add rum
