Top 5 reasons why Autumn In Florida is just Better

In my opinion, fall is the best time of the year, originally being from Chicago, Autumn has always been a time of year to look forward to. But now being in Tampa, I know there is no place I'd rather be then spending these few months in Florida.

Here are our top 5 reason why September, October, and November are better spent in Florida.

1. It's Always Sunny in Florida

Fall up north is basically a three-month period that prepares people for hibernation. The weather is constantly bipolar, one day it’s 70 and sunny and the next it’s snowing, it’s awful. Well here in Florida we drop in temperature too but instead of it being 40 degrees, we get to enjoy a perfectly comfortable 75 and sunny everyday. I will admit I miss the fall leaves changing colors but then I remember that the red and orange leaves are cool for about a week until they all fall off and you’re stuck raking them for hours on end.

2. The Palm Trees

We have palm trees and who doesn’t love palm trees - enough said.

3. We can drink Iced Coffees

Starbucks seasonal coffee drinks, while the rest of you drink your pumpkin spice lattes at the basic 180 degrees we get to drink these seasonal coffees iced and frozen. Feel free to call us hipster.

4. Slutty Halloween

On Halloween night everyone up north has to dress according to the weather, bundle up, bring out the turtlenecks and gloves because it’s freezing, heck, this year there was even snow. Well here in Florida we can dress in the least amount of clothing possible. Go ahead, choose the sluttiest Halloween costume you can find, here you don’t have to worry about hypothermia.

5. Thanksgiving on the Beach

While everyone up north is spending Thanksgiving in their stuffy grandmas house painfully smiling and loathing their life, here in Florida, we can spend thanksgiving in our bathing suits and on a beach. Yes, we still deal with the annoying relatives but suddenly the ocean air and salt water make it a little bit easier to deal with.

The fall season is best spent in Florida, and if you don’t agree with me you clearly haven’t spent enough time here. Dying to tell us your other reasons you love spending fall in Florida? Leave a comment, we’d love to hear from you.
